Challenging and Nurturing Tomorrow's Leaders

Located in the heart of Clintonville, Dominion Middle School is a welcoming and vibrant neighborhood school with a diverse population of sixth through eighth grade students. Part of a strong community committed to student achievement, Dominion students are encouraged to explore, develop, engage and connect in a safe and nurturing environment. Our teachers value students as individuals and are committed to working with parents to uncover each person's unique talents, interests and strengths.

Dominion Middle School provides something for every student including numerous clubs, activities, and academic and athletic opportunities. Students can obtain high school credits; take part in robotics and honors challenge teams; compete in academic and science fairs; and learn and grow through music, drama, debate, computers and Spanish, and more.

Daily morning town hall meetings and a house system build camaraderie and reinforce values and character development. Town hall is an opportunity to showcase student voices and celebrate achievements.

Students are encouraged and empowered to become leaders and good citizens of the world through activities such as mentoring programs, composting and recycling, and the integration of social justice into community discussions.

Adding to the diverse setting, Dominion is the only Columbus City Schools middle school with a center serving the deaf community. Deaf and hard of hearing students are mainstreamed into classes at Dominion.

The very active Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) and parent base at Dominion are integral parts of the school's success. Parents can access a weekly academic newsletter, “In Touch”, coordinated by a parent volunteer and receive quarterly progress reports, student conferences, phone calls, letters, flyers and surveys.
