8TH GRADE TRIP TO WASHINGTON DC 2023
May 21 - May 24, 2024
Dominion Middle School 8th grade students will travel to our nation's capitol on Tuesday, May 21 - Friday, May 24, 2024 as a supplement to the 8th grade social studies curriculum.
Prime Tours is facilitating our travel plans. The cost of the trip is $738.00 per student, which includes eleven (11) meals, tours of Arlington National Cemetery and Mt. Vernon; visits to the Smithsonian museums, all of the major memorials, tour directors and night hotel chaperone staff, fees and gratuity.
Scholarship opportunities are available through the Dominion PTSO. Scholarship applications will be distributed on November 13, 2023. The deadline for submission is December 15, 2023.

Return Pre-Trip Behavior Contract - Wednesday, November 15
First Payment of $319.00 - Monday, January 15, 2024
Second Payment of $319.00 - Friday, March 1, 2024
Room Request Form - due on Wednesday, April 10, 2024
Health Information Forms and Medication - Wednesday, May 1, 2024

FAQs
Do I need to bring electronics?
No. DO not bring a chromebook, computer or video game. Cell phones are permitted, but will be confiscated at night and returned to students the next morning.
What if I have trouble registering online? Just call Prime Tours at the number listed above.
What are payment options? Credit Card payment online or Check or Money Order mailed to Prime Tours, 565 Metro Place South, Suite 300, Dublin, OH 43017
Can students bring snacks? Yes, snacks can be brought for the bus and/or room. NO DAIRY.
What if my child has dietary restrictions? Students will be able to purchase their own food. For gluten or other restrictions, please contact Prime Tours and inform them. They'll make accommodations by contacting restaurants for an alternative menu.
How will students pay for meals? Students will be given a cash allowance prior to each meal.
How will my child choose roommates? Students, with parent signature, and teacher's input, will choose roommates at the end of April/first week in May.
Can siblings or family members go? Families are welcome to go to Washington DC, but not as a part of the trip covered under the Prime Tours Service Agreement.
Can siblings from other schools go? Unfortunately, no, because this is a co-curricular, not extra-curricular function.
